Brevard County Public Libraries--Check to see if the book you want is in your local library. If it isn't, don't forget that you can put a "hold" on the book and it will be delivered to your library from any other library in the county. Check this site out to broaden your reading choices. Teenreads.com--This site brings you "info and features about your favorite authors, books, series and characters." It is a place to find new titles and write about books and issues that are important to you. Teen Lounge at the Boston Public Library--This is part of the BPL maintained just for young adults. Click on Booklists for Teens for a bunch of reading choices. [top] Outstanding Books for the College Bound: American Library Association List--Find here annotated lists of titles in many fields such as history, science and technology, humanities, literature and language arts. 101 Great Books Recommended for College-Bound Readers--This list is from The College Board who bring you the SAT. They say, "It's a good idea to talk to your parents, librarians, teachers, and counselor about your reading list. They can help you choose the best books for you from among your many options." Arrowhead (WI) Library System List--This list contains titles in world literature, drama, and poetry, among others. St. Margaret's School in Virginia-- "This reading list for college-bound students is a combination of many lists compiled by colleges and universities for high school reading. College professors expect incoming students to be familiar with these works; in many cases they will be reread and studied in more depth in college.
