Brevard YouthWorks--This site is maintained by the Brevard Workforce Development Board especially for Brevard's students. Be sure to view Seeing Beyond High School, an interactive program on the future world of work. Find youth-friendly employers and explore careers. You can even find information about colleges and job training here.
Education Index Career Resources--Find here a really big bunch of links to career web sites.
Florida eChoices--This site is changing as of August 31.
Workforce Florida--Workforce Florida, Inc. was created by Governor Jeb Bush and the Florida Legislature. This site will let you find out just what is happening in our state.
The
Occupational Outlook Handbook--A government career guidance publication,
it provides a look at possible changes in the workforce and qualifications for
jobs of the future as well as job descriptions, earnings, and training information.

BLS Career Information Page--Designed by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, this page for kids offers information for career reports.
Career Research and Planning--From the Princeton Review, this page offers a quick test designed to point you toward career fields that might fit your interests and more.

Jobstar Central--This California site contains guides for specific career fields.
JobHuntersBible--This site was created by Richard Bolles, the author of What Color is Your Parachute, which is a classic in the field of career books. It also features a test to help you discover career interests.

for college soon? Or maybe just checking out what's available? The web sites
below allow you to do such things as search for colleges and universities, apply
for financial aid, search for scholarships, and complete online applications.
FACTS.org -- This web site is truly is the place to start planning for your future. Provided by the Florida Department of Education, this site offers information about career planning; colleges, community colleges, and universities in Florida ; financial planning; vocational-technical courses; electronic applications for admissions; you name it. A special feature allows you to evaluate your actual transcript information and compare it to graduation, Bright Future scholarships, and state university admissions requirements.
College Board -- Because this is the College Board site, you can even register for the SAT here, as well as search for colleges and apply online to 500 schools. The site provides a test calendar, has an SAT question of the day, and it lets you apply for financial aid.
CollegeNET -- Students who apply through this site become eligible for a $10,000 scholarship. This site boasts 1500 “customized internet admissions applications” with an automated process that allows you to fill in common information only one time for several applications.
Princeton
Review -- Put together by the well-known Princeton Review people, you can
find lots of financial aid, application and college prep advice, as well as
helpful articles written by education professionals.

College Xpress by Carnegie Communications -- Over 700 online applications are available here. Of special note is a link to an NCAA guide for the college-bound athlete. If you register here, you can become eligible for a $10,000 scholarship to participating schools.
US News & World Report -- Nicely organized, this site provides relevant US News articles on a wide variety of college choice and financial aid topics. Stay up-to-date on the magazine’s picks for the “best” colleges and graduate schools in the country.
CollegeView -- A strength of this site is the linking to free virtual college tours. Request information from featured schools and you will be entered into a drawing for one of five $1,000 scholarships. Here you can also find additional career information.
